01The problem

What was actually broken

Pronted entered our doors as a technology provider to schools, a division of Akshar School Solutions, carrying genuinely good product but almost no distinct market position. The education technology sector in India had filled up fast. Every vendor claimed digital transformation. Every pitch sounded the same. Pronted needed to become something schools could not replace, not something schools could simply swap for a cheaper alternative next renewal cycle.

The real problem was never the product. Pronted's technology worked. The problem was that institutions and parents had no language to explain why Pronted mattered more than the next vendor on the list. When a brand cannot explain its own difference, the market defaults to price as the only variable left to compare. That is the trap Pronted was in, competing on cost inside a category that had stopped differentiating on anything else.

We began, as we always do, by refusing to accept the client's own explanation of the problem at face value. Pronted's leadership believed they needed better marketing. What we found in the first two weeks of discovery was different. The internal team itself did not have a shared, confident answer to why Pronted existed beyond the product feature list. If the people selling the brand could not articulate its difference with conviction, no external campaign was going to fix that.

Friction 01

No language for the difference

Institutions and parents had no way to explain why Pronted mattered more than the next vendor on the list.

Friction 02

Price as the only variable

When a brand cannot explain its own difference, the market defaults to cost as the only thing left to compare.

Friction 03

No shared internal narrative

The team selling the brand had no confident answer to why Pronted existed beyond the product feature list.

Friction 04

Categories blurred under one name

Several distinct service categories ran under a single brand with no individual positioning for any of them.

Four forces pressing on the same brand at once. Not one of them is a design problem, which is why not one of them is answered with decoration. The engagement exists to move the brand in a single direction against all four.

02The thought process

Why the sequence ran this way

To understand the gap precisely, we built a specialised internal portal for Pronted's own team, an assessment tool designed to surface how employees genuinely perceived the brand, the operations, and the market position. This was not a customer survey. This was an internal mirror. The results were direct. There was no shared internal narrative, no distinct positioning for the individual service categories Pronted offered, and no confidence in what should have been the company's strongest asset, its actual educational value to schools.

Two branches run from the same question, and they run together rather than in turn. The engagement converges into a finished position only once both of them have answered.

03The strategy

Four phases, each giving the next something solid.

Sequential, each with its own deliverable. Nothing here ran open-ended.

  1. Phase 01

    Internal Discovery

We ran the internal perception assessment across Pronted's C-level and broader team, mapping exactly where confidence existed and where it did not. This gave us a foundation built on truth rather than assumption.

  2. Phase 02

    Category-Level Positioning

Pronted offered several distinct service categories under one name. We defined clear, individual objectives for each category, ensuring every service contributed to one coherent brand identity while still answering a specific market need on its own terms.

  3. Phase 03

    Foundational Realignment

We reevaluated and rebuilt Pronted's vision, mission, and values from the ground up, aligning these foundational statements with the new strategic direction so they would resonate with the internal team first, and only then with the external audience.

  4. Phase 04

    Market-Facing Rebuild

Only once the internal foundation was solid did we move to external brand identity, messaging, and communication, positioning Pronted as an indispensable educational partner rather than one vendor among many.

Four phases run in sequence, each handing the next something solid to build on. The fill deepens across the row because the commitment does: nothing in a later phase is decided before the phase before it has answered.

BRAND WORKSTREAM (PHASES 01–04)INTERNAL ALIGNMENTDONE

Every phase was tested against whether Pronted's own people could carry it. The internal narrative was not a phase, it ran underneath all four.

Sequence

The 90-day engagement gave Pronted clarity before it gave Pronted a campaign, and that order is the entire reason the repositioning held.

04The ecosystem

How the phases relate

This is the distinction that separates architecture from decoration. We did not open with a new logo. We closed with one, after the internal team had a shared, confident language for what Pronted actually was. Every message, every stakeholder touchpoint, every piece of communication was rebuilt around one idea, that Pronted is not a vendor schools use, it is a partner schools depend on.

Fig. 05The engagement as one system
PHASE 01InternalDiscoveryPHASE 02Category-LevelPositioningPHASE 03FoundationalRealignmentPHASE 04Market-FacingRebuildProntedBrand coreTHE MARKET

The pipeline shows the order the phases ran in. This shows why they were never four separate projects: each phase is a different surface of the same brand, and every one of them faces the same market.

05The outcome

What changed, and why it matters

Pronted moved from being one option among many to being recognised, by institutions and by the parents inside those institutions, as a partner central to how the school actually functions day to day. Engagement increased. Recognition increased. And critically, the business grew because the brand finally explained why choosing Pronted mattered, before a single price conversation ever began.

The 90-day engagement gave Pronted clarity before it gave Pronted a campaign, and that sequence is the entire reason the repositioning held. A brand built on a confident internal narrative does not need to be re-explained every sales cycle. It sells itself, because the people carrying it believe it.

1

A shared internal narrative, confirmed before any external work began.

2

Individual objectives defined for every service category under one identity.

3

Vision, mission and values rebuilt to match the new strategic direction.

4

External identity, messaging and communication rebuilt around one idea.

5

Recognition as a partner schools depend on, not a vendor schools use.

6

Growth driven by the brand explaining itself before price was discussed.

Each row moved from an unresolved state to a resolved one. Nothing on the left was decorative, and nothing on the right is cosmetic.

If your business is good but invisible in a crowded category, the fix is not more marketing spend. It is a position the market cannot ignore, built from the inside out.
